Form of Government

Lebo has a Six member Council comprised of five, at large council members and a Mayor. In addition to the "at large" responsibilities, each council position is assigned a specific area for study, and advice. The council position takes an active role in short and long term issues and partners with the city employees, when needed to solve problems. The table below shows the current make up of the Lebo City Council.

The City Council meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at City Hall. If the first Monday of the month falls on a holiday, the meeting is held the Monday following the holiday.


Local Boards and Advisory Committees

Lebo Zoning Board- The Zoning Board is responsible for governing and regulating all the adopted Zoning and Subdivision Regulations. The overall mission of the Zoning Board is to allow for harmonious and logical land use in the city and areas around the city. The Zoning Board meets each quarter at 7:00 P.M. at City Hall.

Lebo Parks and Recreation Board- The "Park Board" is an appointed board impaneled to discuss and approve such things as improvements to the city parks, to see to it that such things as the summer youth baseball program is effectively carried out and other items relating to parks, recreation and culture. The board has the authority to expend funds from the "Special Parks and Recreation" line item of the City Of Lebo budget. Capitol improvements in excess of $2000.00 must have the City Council approval. The Park Board meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30 P.M. at City Hall.
