Lebo Secondary School is a great place to be! We are a group of teachers, staff, and students who work together towards educational excellence at every level. Parents and patrons in our community expect and encourage us to do our best; therefore many parents are planning for their child to pursue some type of post-high school training and education.Computers in the Classroom: Lebo Secondary Schools have 3 full computer labs. One is specifically designed as a business lab with IBM compatible computers, one is designed as a Macintosh lab with full internet access and one is an iMac lab with internet access. The newly established Technology Lab employs Macintosh computers, with audio video equipment and facilitates the operation of the following learning modules: Robotics, Flight Simulator, Power Mechanics, Energy and Electronics, Audio Broadcasting, and Interior Design. In addition, an Interactive Distance Learning classroom is networked to other schools within the county via a dedicated fiber optic line. The distance learning classroom is available to students and the community. The distance learning classroom includes a communications lab with video editing equipment and yearbook layout/production equipment. In addition to our school library, we have immediate access to the Coffey County library-Lebo branch which is also connected to the county wide computer network system via a dedicated fiber optic line.
Over 90% of the seventh grade through twelfth grade student body participates in some type of extra-curricular activities
including the following: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Track, Girls Track, Band,
Vocal, Select Choir, Cheerleading, Student Council, Quiz Bowl, National Honor Society, FFA, FBLA, Journalism, Yearbook, Forensics, Renaissance, and other activities.
The school is associated with the K.S.H.S.A.A. and belongs to the Lyon County League High School activities league and the
Big Nine Junior High activities league. Lebo Secondary School is a member of the Greenbush Educational Service Center.
